With synapse program NOT running: ALL functions of both mice work well. With synapse software running: two perfectly good Razer mice work perfectly EXCEPT for scroll wheel.
#VOLUME SCROLL WHEEL NOT WORKING UPDATE#
After getting basically a NO HELP email, I started to do more trouble shooting and the bottom line is, the synapse software update broke the scroll wheel function on any of my mice. I have reported this with a trouble ticket to Razer technical support and received a response with an apology, but no remedy for the problem. I allowed the update, but then my scroll wheel failed on my brand new mouse immediately after that software update.
However, within the hour I got a software update notification popup on my screen. Thought my problem had been fixed and was sad my older mouse was no longer usable, even as a back up. It 99.9 is software related, but couldn't find anything about the scroll. When I took it out of the box, it was working fine, but when installing the G-hub software it suddenly stopped working. It has a volume scroll wheel on the left ear, but it doesn't work right now. Got it installed and it worked beautifully, including the scroll wheel. I just joined the Logitech G family and bought a G533 wireless headset.

Whenever you plug in a mouse, it restarts the mouse drivers and this alone could resolve the issue. You can do this by disconnecting the mouse from the USB port and plugging it back in. Before doing anything, make sure the issue isn't a temporary one. So today, thinking I had to replace my mouse, I went and purchased a brand new Naga Hex V2. If so, change the cursor movement in Excel so it's set up properly. This function failed on every webpage and document I attempted to scroll up or down. So after I logged out of the game I started some trouble shooting. After a year or so, the dust gets into the volume wheel and they start skipping.

I thought my mouse had finally bit the dust because everything else on it worked, BUT the scroll wheel. This video shows you how to fix the volume wheel/dial on Razer keyboards. But it was frustrating because this was never a problem before. I managed to map my keyboard up/down arrows to these two functions for the duration of the raid. I updated all my software and proceeded to enter the game, where to my dismay, my scroll wheel function for zooming in and out in the game, failed to work. Without the software running, I was able to use my scroll wheel just fine on all documents, as well as all webpages I visited, but would not work with the software running.įriday night I was getting ready for a raid in World of Warcraft. There is a problem with synapse software. Expand the Mice and other pointing devices list. I am able to program the button above the volume control, but not the volume control itself. I was able to change the volume as of 20 minutes ago until I downloaded the G HUB. I see the volume in the top right of my screen, but it stays at whatever the level was. Open the View menu and select Show hidden devices to make sure all drivers are visible. I hear the beeps for volume up and volume down, but it is not changing.
Within the past couple of days I experienced my Scroll wheel function failed to work after the latest software update. To fix this, follow these steps to update the mouse driver and stop the mouse wheel from controlling your computer volume: Click Start > Device Manager.
